SwapU is an online classifieds for college students who want to connect with other students in order to buy, sell, and swap items.

SwapU was created by a group of college students who were looking for an easier and more efficient way of acquiring and selling items in a campus setting.  The creators realized that this would be a service that most college students need and want, and therefore, would take advantage of. 

SwapU.com is a website designed to serve as a link between sellers and buyers within the college community.  Its primary objective is to create an easy way for students to buy and sell goods.  SwapU will connect students with the common interest of finding and advertising products.  In a diverse atmosphere, such as a college/university campus, where there is so much going on, students face the challenge of interacting with other students with the hopes of getting things they need in order to enhance their campus lives.  If you’re trying to buy, sell, or trade goods, or just make money, SwapU is here to make that as easy as possible.  With time and resources limited, students benefit from a service in which their commerce reaches a wider market, with minimal labor.  At SwapU.com, all students have to do is post items that they are selling and they will be available to the registered members of the website.  Or they may search for the items they want to buy, and they will be matched with the goods that meet their search criteria. 

Registered members will have access to postings at their respective schools, as well as other colleges and universities.  This site is exclusive to college students.  This limited market of college students creates a level of comfort and security with fellow students.  Also, college students are the target demographic, thus it is appropriate to limit the services to this group in order to provide specific and concentrated services.  In addition to buying and selling, SwapU is a place to swap ideas and information, such as events, jobs, class and professor reviews, and surveys that pertain to the college life.  SwapU is geared to improve the overall college experience of college students worldwide.
